When people imagine Japanese bento, they picture beautiful variety and perfect balance. So I decided to take photos of my work bento for a few days.
Spoiler: it looks almost the same every day.

What’s Inside My Bento

  • Rice
  • Frozen karaage
  • Broccoli
  • Leftovers

Frozen karaage(fried chicken) is incredibly convenient. Just heat it up in the microwave and it’s ready to eat—perfect for lunch boxes!

Monday

Today’s bento has rice, frozen karaage(fried chicken), broccoli, and leftover gyoza!

Tuesday

Today’s bento is rice, frozen karaage, broccoli, and leftover gyoza again!

Wednesday

Today’s menu is rice, frozen karaage, broccoli, and grilled salmon. The grilled salmon is also a frozen food that I heated up.

Thursday

Today’s menu is the usual frozen karaage, broccoli, and grilled salmon.

Friday

Today’s bento has frozen karaage, broccoli, and leftover gyoza. Yes, again.

Same thing! lol

Working every day means I don’t have time to spend on making lunch. So I make sure I can pack it into my work bag within five minutes of starting to prepare it.
